Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • In charge of assessing and examining patients in order to make proper diagnosis and treatment;
  • Work closely with operating theatres, outpatient, inpatient clinics and community care settings.
  • Ensure proper management of general outpatient clinics, in patients, emergency eye clinics and specialist clinics;
  • Ensure that ophthalmic conditions are well managed, taking into account both medical and psychological aspects of patient care;
  • In charge of conducting surgical procedures.
  • Work closely with other team members in a multi-disciplinary team that includes consultant Ophthalmologist, ophthalmic clinical officers, nurses and other members;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicants for the Ophthalmologist vacancy should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery.
  • Possession of a Master’s Degree in Medical Ophthalmology.
  • Hold a valid Practicing License

Principal Assistant Engineer Job Vacancy at Public Service Commission

Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for inspecting and testing earthling and insulation resistance in government public and private buildings to make sure the installation test results comply with the government regulations;
  • Conducting periodic tests and assessment of electrical installations in building to avoid fire hazards;
  • Carrying out electrical engineering cost estimates for renovation and repairs in government institutions and public buildings;
  • In charge of preparing electrical engineering design and drawings for minor works;
  • Supervising building construction and services installations activities and related contracts;
  • Taking minutes of construction site meetings;
  • Preparing projects progress reports
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate should be Ugandans holding a Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering or any related field from a recognized University /Institution;
  • A minimum of six (6) years’ experience, three (3) of which should have been served at the level of a Senior Engineer in Government or equivalent experience in road management from a reputable Organisation.
  • Age: Above 25 years
