Duties and Responsibilities: 

• In charge of treating clients eye diseases in Outpatient Department (OPD) and other work stations.
• Screening patients for operation.
• Attending and participating in ward rounds and Night shifts.

• Selecting and referring complicated eye surgeries to the Ophthalmologist for further management.
• Keep a complete and accurate inventory of medicines, equipment and other supplies in the program.
• Support the Ophthalmologist in preparation and submission of the weekly and monthly activity reports.
• Perform any other relevant duties as may be required or assigned by your supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

• The applicants for the Ophthalmic Clinical Officer (OCO) vacancy should hold a Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine- Ophthalmology/ Cataract surgery.
• Registered with the Clinical Officers Council.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Be creative, innovative and sensitive to quality.
• Excellent command of the English language (both spoken and written) and must be multilingual.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise reports and well developed communication skills
• Good computer skills.
