- Identify funding opportunities
- The jobholder will prepare draft proposals, share for discussion and endorsement, refine and submit to donors
- Initiate registration with major donor institutions and gather information on funding and accountability
- Increase local funding through private patients, appeals for individual donations and corporate companies
- The incumbent will increase awareness through events and publications
- Provide regular communication with potential and existing donors through reports, tours etc
- Manage and supervise the team for Resource Mobilization, Advocacy and Awareness.
- Assist the CEO in lobbying institutional donors.
- Identify, develop and maintain good relationships with existing and potential institutional donors, foundations, individuals etc.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Head of Fundraising, Grants and Communications must hold a University degree preferably in marketing, communication, grants writing/project management or any other relevant field. Possession of a Post graduate qualification in proposal writing is an added advantage
- Three years’ experience in funding proposal writing and a proven track record of writing successful grants
- Excellent communication, presentation and social skills.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of disability
