Duties and Responsibilities:  

• The jobholder will be in charge of  building and developing strong strategic partnership / relationship with MFIs and SMEs
• Plan and carry out consumer education within the assigned market MFI and SMEs
• The incumbent will also drive profitable business for the company
• Design and develop need based products for the MFIs and SMEs
• Develop and deliver excellent customer experience in the market
• Timely collection of premiums
• Work closely with support functions to follow up on client queries and complaints

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

• The ideal candidate for the CIC Africa Uganda Limited Micro-Insurance Officer opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree in preferably in MFI, business administration or related field
• The applicant must hold professional qualification i.e. ACII/ AIIU
• At least four years of relevant experience in a similar position (2) two of which at supervisory level
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• The applicant must hold excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer care skills
• Leadership skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Broad knowledge and understanding the working environment/ competitors
• Technical competence in Insurance
• Basic knowledge of regulations by IRA
