Research and Advocacy Officer Job Opportunity at Foundation for Human Rights Initiative

  • Job Requirements:

  • The applicant should hold an advanced degree in human rights law, international law, political science, social sciences or other related field.
  • A minimum of five years’ work experience in research and advocacy in human rights or related field.
  • Previous work experience in conducting research and advocacy and a solid background in human rights programming
  • Prior exposure and experience in strategy development, policy and legislative analysis and use of research to engage and influence high-level decision makers.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of imaginative communication techniques and an appreciation of how those tools could work with policy, research and advocacy to influence policy and practice change.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical and fundraising skills.
  • IT proficiency, in particular MS Office, social media and management information systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and at least one local language.
