- Create schedules for jobs supposed to be printed in order to ensure that printers know what they are going to do and prepare accordingly. .
- The jobholder will coordinate jobs for printing to ensure the right jobs are printed as per the schedule.
- Make dummies and also ensure job cards are received at all printing sections.
- Prepare and submit printing activity reports in order to inform management of job progress and advise on continuous process improvement.
- Responsible and accountable for printing materials on the floor.
- Ensure that plates are made in pre-press in order to start the production process on time.
- Examine newspaper/ print job quality in order to avoid errors.
- Follow up artworks/pages from editorial, pre-press, advertising and the production process in order to make sure pages/artworks are submitted in time so printing
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field.
- The applicant should have at least two principal passes in Mathematics and English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Proven ability to work under minimal supervision.
- The applicant must be flexible, committed and keen to deliver on key targets.
- Willingness to work long hours and night shifts.
- Computer knowledge.
